Reflecting with Nancie

During this time of year we are thinking about getting together with friends and family, and buying thoe holiday gifts. I learned a long time ago that you need to remember what is important in life, and not just during the holidays, but all year long. Mark and my children were and still are the most important thing to me.

The house cleaning and laundry can wait a while. If your child comes up to you and wants to play, sit down and play. The laundry will still be there tomorrow. God forbid your child will still be there tomorrow too.

Life is so short, and you just never know. Make the most of each and every day. Years from now your children will not remember that the house was not as spotless as you may wish it was, or that there was laundry sitting in the basket, but I guarantee that they will remember the time you spend with them each and every day.

So the moral of my reflection is ~ let the laundry sit for another day, let a little dust collect, or let that project at work wait till morning. Get out there with your kids, family and friends, watch the school play, play ball with the kid. Life is so short, make the most of it and there will never be regrets ~ I should have. . . . .

Have a safe and happy holiday season.
