~Inclement weather reminder ~

With snow in the air here in Colorado, I thought that I would let you know that if we DO get a lot snow or ice, I might not be able to get to the store.

We live a ways from the main roads that get plowed, and sometimes it’s just too treacherous for me to drive. I live a ways from the store and my weather might be a lot different than the weather in town. I always try to make it in, but there are those days that the roads are just not safe for me to drive that distance.

If the weather is ‘iffy’ feel free to call the store to see if I am open before you make a trip out. The number at the store is 303-665-1767, and if I don't answer, please leave me a message as I may be with a customer and unable to answer. I will return your call if I am in the store.

Thanks for your understanding.

As always our on-line Store ~ The Speckled Goose is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Our Etsy store is also open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year ~ check us out ~ The Speckled Goose Etsy Shoppe

~ Colorado Weather ~

Believe it or not, we are in the middle of a winter storm. Winter already? Well the calendar says that it is fall, but looking out the door you wouldn't believe it.

We had approximately a foot of snow at the store yesterday (at least it felt like it when I shoveled). I shoveled the parking lot and sidewalks at least 3 times, and it was still snowing when I left at 5 pm.

I don't know how much snow is at the store today as I am sitting in the house and didn't try to brave these roads. They are snow packed and icy. Several of the highways and freeways in our area are closed due to the weather conditions.

Today is a school snow day. John is outside playing in the snow (good thing he bought snowpants and a jacket with his Christmas gift cards). It is fun to watch from inside the house where is it a little more toasty.

Stay safe and warm.
