~ ! ~ Art Night - Huge Success ~ ! ~

Art Night Out was another HUGE success. And without all of the support from our community it wouldn't be possible. For that I want to THANK YOU all for helping us make Art Night Out a great Success.

We had great weather, lots of music, food and of course shopping. I finally made it home at 11:30. I keep getting asked if we're going to this type of thing often. YES, we are. We as a business community are glad that the community is enjoying the evenings out.

Our next Art Night out is July 31st from 6 pm - 10 pm. I will post more info as it becomes available, but make sure that you put July 31 st on your calendar.

Video of JJ - Sutton, OK Eaglet

Oh my, I am so glad that camfan captured a couple of videos of JJ. She has been like a mother watching her first born. I finally got to see her fly up to the bar and I had tears in my eyes. Then Monday morning I found the links to these videos that were put together. I am so excited and say Thank You enough to camfan for caputuring and putting on youtube for the rest of us to watch.

There are a couple of different videos to watch. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

What's New This Week

I drove by this barbecue for 2 weeks and kept telling myself that I could do something with it, but what? Well it finally hit me and I finally stopped and picked it up.

It had to have my name on it as it sat there for a full 2 weeks or more. Well I figured out what to do with it and picked it up. I had 4 guys standing on the porch watching and laughing at me as I put it into the backseat of my car.

The barbecue is in great shape that I almost felt bad about putting flowers in, but it looks sooooo cute. I planted the flowers on Wednesday and I have gotten so many comments on it already. I am so excited and it looks so cute at the store. The barbecue is available for purchase, but with a local pickup only.

I also got the second half of the west side of the building planted in shrubs. I just have to pick up a few more and it wll be done. It looks so good. I have been wanting to do this for the last 3 years and I finally got it done. I'll have to get more pictures taken to show all of you. It s really coming together.

Can you believe that ~ The Speckled Goose is almost 3 years old. Boy does time fly when you're having fun.

Below is a picture of John on his new old horse "Spirit". She is close to 30 years old and he is having a grand time riding, grooming, and feeding her.

Red Tail Hawk - Portland, OR

As you may know from some of my earliers posts that Jay and Kay in Tulsa, OK lost their eggs this year to the weather (snow storm), so I started to watch the RTH in Portland.

They were so much fun to watch them hatch, their first feeding, and growing up. Well, it is time for them to fledge, and they were doing really well until one of them hit a car, and then the other hit a window (I think it was), well anyway they have both been rescued from their mishaps, and hopefully will be released back to their parents this weekend.

A gentleman by the name of Bob has been blogging about their process and you can see all of it along with pictures. Boy is he beautiful.

Hawk and Eagle babies are growing up

The hawk and eagle babies are growing up so fast and will be getting ready to leave their nests soon. I sure am going to miss watching them grow. They have been so much fun to watch hatch, eat, grow up and trying to fly.

I don't know what I am going to do with myself all summer and winter while I wait till next spring to start the process all over. I will keep all of you updated on all of the info I find and am watching.

I wonder if they go through this process more than once a year? I'll have to pull out the falcon & hawks book I bought John for Christmas and see what I can find out. It sure would be fun if they nest more than once a year.
