Wrestling Tournament this weekend

I didn't have much time off this weekend. John had a state wrestling tournament Saturday and Sunday. I went on Sunday and got to watch. It sure is a lot of fun. Then Mark and John took me to Bass Pro Shops. Boy is that place huge place. John got to fish for a while. By the time we got there the fish were pretty tired and full. They weren't biting too much, but he finally got one caught.

What I am working on this week.

I will be adding a new section each week to the blog - What I am working on this week. Well what am I working on this week? I am working on paper work so that I can get all of my tax stuff ready. I don't like this time of year.

As far as crafting I am working on stitcheries, and more stitcheries, and Pugs. Yes pugs. I am working on a few pug stitcheries. Boy are they turning our really cute. The weather is so wonderful here that I also want to get outside and work in the flowers, but it is way too early for that.

We are having record highs in Colorado this week. It was 65 degrees on my way to work this morning at 9 am. Can you believe that?

I have added a few more new items to my website. Be sure to check back often as I am adding new items each week.

What I am working on this week.

Below are a few pictures of some of the new stuff in the shoppe, and I am in the process of getting them added to my website. If you're interested in any of the items prior to them being added to my website, just send me an email. I'll also add the links to the pics within the next day or so.

The shoppe is starting to look like spring. I am loving all of these colors. Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. New beginnings, baby birds, baby sheep, fur babies all over.

I have also made a few and working on more Mom, Grandma, Grandpa, Dad, Aunt, and more picture frames with great sayings. You just have to add your pictures prior to gift giving. I will have some pictures up later this week of my frames.

Have a great day.

Spring Weather in Colorado today

You would not know that it is February by the weather today in Denver. It is a beautiful spring day and supposed to be a high of 68 degrees. Boy do I love this weather and wish I was home cleaning out the garage. I did get a couple of hours done on Sunday, but it was to put in 2 filing cabinets that I was given full of craft supplies.

I am a crafter in crafter heaven. One of the gals at the antique store is working on cleaning out her craft room and gave me all kinds of stuff, FREE, fabric, lace, ribbon, doll hats, patterns, and so much more. Do you know what it like for a crafter to be looking at this stuff???? I am like a little kid on Christmas morning. I now have ribbon & lace to last me and my childs lifetime. Guess that I'd better get some real work done within the next few weeks.

Enjoy this Colorado weather.

Back from Vacation and Back to Work!!

We are back from vacation and boy did we have a great time. But, it sure was good to get back home and to the store. I haven't been away for 2 weeks since I opened the store.

First we went to a lamb feeders convention in San Diego. The weather was a little overcast the couple of days were were there. John and I went on a land and sea tour. We got to see some of the old town and ships.

Mark, John and I went to Sea World. We got to feed the sea lions, and pet the dolphins, and we also ate lunch with Shamu. Got lots of great pictures, including one of John and I petting the dolphins. Boy was that a lot of fun. I will be getting some pictures posted soon.

Cleave and Ellie of Junction City, Oregon recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, and to celebrate they took Mark, John and I along with Mark's brother and family on a cruise to Mexico. We left from Long Beach on a Sunday and came back the following Sunday.

Inclement weather reminder

With snow in the air here in Colorado, I thought that I would let you know that if we DO get a lot snow or ice, I might not be able to get to the store. We live a ways from the main roads that get plowed, and sometimes it’s just too treacherous for me to drive. I live a ways from the store and my weather might be a lot different than the weather in town. I always try to make it in, but there are those days that the roads are just not safe for me to drive that distance.

If the weather is ‘iffy’ feel free to call the store to see if I am open before you make a trip out. The number at the store is 303-665-1767, and if I don't answer, please leave me a message as I may be with a customer and unable to answer. I will return your call if I am in the store.
Thanks for your understanding.

I hope all of you have a very Happy Holiday Season, and Merry Christmas. I appreciate all of the support / business you have given me and The Speckled Goose during this last year. I have been truly blessed meeting each and every one of you.

I will be taking a few days off after Christmas to spend some much needed time with my boys. Both Mark, and John have been very supportive of mom working long hours.
